Here we have an ink of a place that is on the register of Kansas historical buildings. This drawing was done originally in pencil and later in India ink with a stick as the tool. It was a clear sunny day; don't recall just now the time of year - I would need to dig out the pencil to see if it is noted there. The church is on the NE corner of the block in east Lawrence on which New York School sits. The school occupies the entire rest of the block. Both buildings face the west. If you would like to see a photo of the church and more info about it, go to this link: http://lawrencepreservation.org/projects/st-luke-ame-church/
This posting is later than what I have been trying to do each week... but here it is.
Love this one, Dad. Especially like the link to the LJWorld's article...
ReplyDeleteNice to get a little extra info, as well as a comparison between the on the spot creative drawing and the actual building.
DeleteThere is one I have done in NL for which I have as yet no external information. Will be interesting to research a little.
