Sibleyville Rd.

This place is along the road headed east from South Haskell, before you take the south jog to Baldwin. I guess this is now South 1000 Road. Should be on the north side of  the road. There are many stories that go with this stretch of road. Maybe you could tell more than I.  Bumming gas one night from a farmer living along there because I neglected to check the gauge before heading out is one story. Another time winding along that road alone at night with ever decreasing headlights due to a failing alternator- not a pleasant memory! Recently we were along there headed to the Helwig's for a work day that turned out to be a great encouragement for them in their recent health struggles. Further east from here just before you get to the old Morgan "homestead" was about the south west reach of the school bus route I ran from Eudora in the early 1970's.  I have done more than one drawing along this road, and I am sure forgotten many stories...but here is a fairly recent drawing done mostly on location.
